Graduation hat enamel pin - academic cap pin
Graduation Cap Throwing – This graduation tradition was believed to be invented by the U.S. Navy. On graduation day at the academy, midshipmen would get their new officer's hats and they would throw their old hats in the air as a sign of appreciation.
🎓 High School Degree - Proper placement of your tassels for the commencement ceremony will be on the right side of your cap before the ceremony begins. Once you receive your diploma, depending on your school, you may move your graduation tassel from the right side to the left. Most schools will direct you to make the shift, as directed by the graduation speaker.
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree – For those receiving undergraduate or bachelor’s degrees, the same rules apply as a high school graduation. Tassels first begin on the right side of your cap and upon receiving your degree or following instruction from the ceremonial speaker, the graduation tassel will be moved to the left.
🎓 Master’s/Graduate/Doctoral Degrees – Once you have made your way to the big stage for graduate degrees, different rules apply. The difference is that your tassel will begin on the left side of your cap and will remain there until the ceremony is complete. Graduate tassels do not require to be moved at all.
